MC Squared Partners was founded by a small group of experienced consultants who had worked together for many years and wanted to build something new. After successful careers in larger firms, delivering complex work in demanding environments, we saw an opportunity to create a consultancy that puts deep expertise, exceptional delivery, and genuine human relationships back at the heart of consulting.​
We address a clear gap in the market for top-tier quality without the cost, layers, or noise of large consultancies. Our clients operate in complex, highly regulated environments where outcomes matter. They don’t need theory or oversized teams—they need people who understand the challenge, work alongside them, and turn decisions into results.

Robin Murray

Rob is the CEO and founder of MC Squared Partners. He brings a wealth of consulting experience having spent his career in senior roles at Accenture, Capco, Ernst & Young, and BCS Consulting. He has over twenty-five years experience working as both an industry professional and management consultant. And has considerable expertise in developing and leading business and risk transformation programs from inception through to delivery; to reduce costs, increase efficiency and enhance control. He has also held a number of interim Head of Risk/ Operational Risk roles at banks, insurers and fin-techs. At BCS, Rob played a key role in managing & growing the business to the point of its acquisition by Accenture in 2021. Prior to establishing MC Squared, he held a number of leadership roles within Accenture strategy & consulting, including co-lead of the UK and Ireland Risk practice. Away from work, Rob spends a lot of his spare time with his family & friends, driving his daughter to numerous clubs and events and holidaying anywhere with a good mini disco. And when he gets the time, Rob enjoys playing and watching a variety of sports. He’s also a keen gardener and avid cinephile.
Michael Cribbin
Chief Client Officer

Michael is the Chief Client Officer and co-founder at MC Squared. He brings 17 years of consulting and banking industry experience, and has held senior roles at BCS Consulting, HSBC and Baringa Partners. Michael has extensive experience working as a management consultant as well as in banking as an industry professional. He has shaped and led multiple large-scale programmes and functions, covering Wealth Management, Agile Transformation, cost reduction and Regulation, and has extensive experience of leading and developing teams and individuals. He also spent part of his career at HSBC in a regional role in Asia, leading an internal department through a period of accelerated digital transformation. At HSBC, Michael was part of the Asia regional leadership team within the Retail and Wealth business and led a Transformation team of 150 people across Asia, comprising both internal staff and external suppliers. In this role, he experienced life on the client side and how best to engage and get the most out of external suppliers. Michael was also part of the Banking & Markets leadership team at Baringa prior to joining MC Squared.  Away from work, Michael spends a lot of his spare time running and playing golf, as well as with his wife and two children. They are a sporty bunch and spend a lot of their spare time together being active and at kids sports clubs. They love to be in the mountains or in the sea, so their holidays usually involve surfing, cycling or skiing. He brings significant experience as a management consultant working across Financial Services as well as other sectors. This experience includes operating as a senior client advisor and delivery professional across Business Transformation, Risk, Resilience and Regulatory Change. He has considerable expertise in leading and growing professional services firms and in developing people. At Accenture, Ben was part of the UK Financial Services leadership team and was the Strategy and Consulting lead for a number of tier 1 banking clients. Prior to Accenture, Ben was a Client Account Lead at BCS Consulting, where he helped grow the business to 250 people before its trade sale. Away from work, Ben spends the majority of his spare time with his wife and two sons. He really enjoys going on holiday with his family, which ideally includes a nice mix of hot sun and skiing and always takes in the local food and wine! In his spare time, Ben enjoys music, food, wine tasting and a range of physical activities including hiking, cycling and skiing.
Robert Crewdson

Prior to MC Squared, Rob built his consulting career through Accenture and BCS Consulting, working with clients ranging from Global Financial Institutions to UK lenders and fintechs. As our CSO, Rob ensures that we stay focused on the expertise and capabilities our clients need, and that we have the right talent in our team to deliver results. Over the last 15 years Rob has managed large consulting teams and held interim risk change lead roles for clients across the Financial Services industry and beyond. As the Risk & Finance Practice Lead at BCS Consulting, he developed deep expertise in non-financial risk and resilience management, publishing thought leadership and supporting organisations to design and implement risk frameworks and drive risk transformation. Following Accenture’s acquisition of BCS Consulting in 2021, Rob held non-financial risk leadership roles while also managing large-scale, complex delivery programmes driving technology, data and AI innovation at banking and insurance clients. When he’s not thinking about our expertise and service offerings you’ll find Rob hiking, running and cycling with his family, watching his sons play cricket (when the weather’s nice), or coaching his youngest’s football team (when the weather isn’t so nice). He occasionally gets the chance to take on a triathlon or round of golf, but not often!
